The Nathan's Battle Foundation is a public, tax-exempt, non-profit organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and all gifts and donations to the Fund are tax deductible. 100% of your donation is applied directly to research.

Donations are greatly appreciated. We will be organizing fund raising events for Batten disease research. Since Batten disease is so rare, not much research is being done to find a treatment. The greater the awareness of the disease the more potential governmental and philanthropic funding for research. We will be trying to raise as many funds as possible to aid in research. The more funds and exposure Nathan gets the greater his chances.

These events will make a difference!!! This money will act as "seed" money for researchers to begin research projects. Once they get a project started, they then approach the government for grants to pursue their hypotheses. Without "seed" money research projects for rare diseases like Batten disease would not happen. As little as a few thousand dollars might be what is needed to start the research project that will lead to a treatment/cure.
